ELECTRIC VINES
SEK 350/METRE
From 1830-1869, Ovansjö Gästrikland
One of five black/brown bottomed fabric pieces from Gammelgården, Storvik. According to DigitaltMuseeum it has a dark brown base, however in real life it looks black. Because of that the reproduction print has a black base. The fabric is checked against the original and is very close in colour.
The fabric is part of a collection of clothing items from Gammelgården in Storviksbacken in Storvik, Ovansjö. The items of clothing were found in the attic upstairs in the said house in the early 1990s, in connection with the demolition of the house. Parts of the farm are from the 17th century and the textiles are from the entire 19th century. In the house lived the tailor Anders Andersson-Wikblom and his wife Anna Zakrisdotter, called Hat-Anna, who are probably the ones who used the clothes.
