    The exterior fabric from a "skarpmössa", hat, from Ovansjö. Now available in two different fabric qualities, more under "information" below. Interestingly enough there is a scrap remnant of the same fabric in the Ovansjö find available at Länsmuseet Gävleborg (here). Could the hat have been worn or even made by the so called Hat-Anna that lived in Gammelgården in Storvik where the find was made?

    Airy, delicate cotton fabric with a soft drape. This is a slightly transparent fabric with a very smooth surface that is best suited for neckerchiefs and possibly aprons. Less suitable for clothes unless these should be very light.

    Cretonne - 121 g

    cretonne

    Slightly stiffer cotton fabric with a slightly drape. Smooth but with slightly coarser threads than the thinner fabric, not transparent. The fabric is best suited for bodices other items of clothing and for neckerchiefs if you want these a little stiffer.

    100% cotton, plain-weave
    Printing: Digital printing with OEKO-TEX certified (water-based) inks. NOTE! Cotton is a natural material that can have small loose fibers in the weave that lie on top of the fabric - therefore small white dots may appear on the finished product. In this case, these are very small and few in number as the fabric is of even, fine quality. This can happen on basically all natural materials with this printing technique. 
    Production time:     3-8 working days
    Production: Printed by CottonBee in Płock, Poland. Produced only to order. No water and minimal electricity and raw materials are used in production. The print is fixed with heat, not chemicals.
    Washing instructions: Hand wash only in cold water to avoid shrinkage – cotton is a natural material that can shrink significantly in hot water (approx. 2%). Do not use detergents with bleach. Products should be washed inside out if possible. It is advisable to sew the edges of your fabric before the first wash, to ensure that the edges do not fray.

    ATTENTION! Only sold in whole meters.

    If you have ordered neckerchiefs or fabric before April 2026 these have been printed on Cretonne - 121g, except for Blue Clover neckerchief which is printed on Voile - 77g.

  • DELIVERY

    Delivery time: Your neckerchiefs will be ordered from the printing house within 3 business days. After that, production takes about 3-8 days. The neckerchiefs are shipped directly from the printing house in Poland and takes about 3-5 business days.
    Shipping: 159 SEK within Sweden. Sent with UPS or FedEx with tracking. Shipping costs to other countries is calculated at checkout.
