A so-called Robe a la Francaise, also known as a 'sack back gown'. Each part is hand-sewn with linen or silk thread. This robe a la francaise consists of a green-toned, silvery overdress with pretty decoration (the bodice is lined with cotton, boned and with lacing at the back. The eyelets are of course hand-made from silk thread!), a deep black petticoat in duchesse satin, a breast patch embroidered by hand with silk thread and glass beads, and a pair of handmade 'engageantes', i.e. sleeve cuffs made of voile (cotton blend) with hand-sewn embroidery of silk thread. These are attached inside the dress with hand-tied silk buttons.

A stomacher for the large-flowered robe a l'anglais. Reinforced with German Synthetic Whalebone for extra stability. Made of cotton with a top layer of light blue chiffon with embroidery and approx. 1500 pearls.

A yellow, floral Robe a l'anglaise, worn a la retroussée. The dress and matching petticoat are largely machine sewn while the stomacher is hand embroidered.

Completely hand-stitched with black silk thread and black/grey glass beads on a yellow linen fabric. Boned with German Synthetic Whalebone.
